Dads of Wisconsin has endorsed Ed Thompson for the senate seat in the 31st district at their political action meeting on Saturday.
Two members of the Dads of Wisconsin board met with State Senatorial candidate Ed Thompson (R-31st) this past Thursday. Dads of Wisconsin is a group of men and women who want to support those running for public office who understand how important fathers are in children’s lives. They met with Mr. Thompson to discuss issues important to the group such as equal treatment in court concerning child placement after divorce or separation, move away issues, false accusations of domestic or child abuse in divorce proceedings and greater equity in general for both parents in family court disputes.
Steve Blake and Sharon Dillon from DoW met with the candidate for 40 minutes at his restaurant in Tomah, the TeePee Supper Club. “We were pleased that Ed really seemed to understand the problems that non-cu[s]todial parents can face, said Sharon Dillon, VP for public relations at DoW, “and he seems willing to work toward alleviating some of the suffering that children experience when deprived of their fathers”.
