Trempealeau and Pepin County Fairs
Ed Thompson visited the first fairs of the season. On Friday and Saturday, July 23 & 24, Ed spent time meeting folks in Galesville at the Trempealeau County Fair and on Saturday he spent some time visiting with folks at the Pepin County 4-H Fair in Arkansaw.

Black River Falls Beef Cookout & Butterfly Parade
Black River Falls seems almost like Ed Thompson’s home away from home. On July 10 Ed joined folks at the fairgrounds for the Jackson County Beef Cookout.

Alma Center Strawberry Festival
Sponsored by the Lion’s Club, the 66th Annual Strawberry Festival Parade gave Ed Thompson a chance to greet hundreds of people in Alma Center on Sunday, June 27.

Ellsworth Cheese Curd Festival
A warm, sunny Saturday was the setting for Ellsworth’s 9th Annual Cheese Curd Festival. Ed Thompson strolled the Pierce County Fairgrounds viewing the vendor displays of wares from gourmet coffee to chainsaw art. A Beach/Sand Wrestling Tournament, the Heritage Tractorcade, and sampling goods from the Cooperative Creamery added to the enjoyment of the day.

Buffalo County Dairy Breakfast
The rolling hills in the pastoral setting of the Rotering family farm in Alma provided a splendid location for Ed to visit with community members enjoying the Buffalo County Dairy Breakfast.

Ed Thompson in Black River Falls
During a campaign stop in Black River Falls, Ed stopped in at Moe’s Hardware Hank and Sporting Goods. Four generations of the Moe family have served the community since 1896. Here Ed chats with Troy Dormedy.

Ed Thompson Tours Marten Transport
On June 23, Ed toured Marten Transport, Ltd., in Mondovi and met many of the workers and management. Marten Transport is Buffalo County’s largest employer. Ed was especially impressed with the measures they’ve taken to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Taste of Eau Claire
Ed Thompson and his volunteers spent a beautiful afternoon meeting voters at the Taste of Eau Claire event on Sunday, June 20. Throughout the day, Ed’s cell phone kept ringing as his children and grandchildren called to wish him “Happy Father’s Day”.
